New Australian script discovered

In our search for a new project to present this year we discovered Jodi Cramond, a playwritie living in Dubbo, NSW.

Sean and I first came across her writing late last year as part of the Short and Sweet Festival. I had put her short script "Alchemy" as my first choice to direct but unfortunatly it was not allocated to me. At the end of the festival it was nominated for Best Drama Writing, I was still in love with the script and deeply dissapointed I had not had a chance to work with it.

When we were reading scripts Natalie suggested we contact the writer and see what other scripts she may have. With-in days of finding Jodi on face book (ah web networking) she had sent us a bunch of scripts and we had asked her to combine "Alchemy" and two other short scripts to make an origional one hour peice especially for us.

The result is "Glipmse", a collection of intersecting monologues about four, very odd, people who cannot face their tragic past.

We are very excited and I am persoanlly having a wonderful time wirking with Jodi, who is a lovely person and open to creative collaboration, makeing the process a smooth as butter. Now we just need to find a venue and a bit more money to make it all fly!
